Oxygen generation system utilizing vacuum pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology

Our VPSA oxygen generator is able to generate oxygen with purity between 90% and 95%. It is mainly composed of air blower, vacuum bump, switching valve and oxygen buffer tank. The production cost of using this VPSA oxygen generator will decrease as the production volume increases, which makes it suitable for applications like medium and large industrial systems where continuous supply of high purity oxygen is required. Vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) is a technology effectively separating oxygen or nitrogen from atmosphere using molecular sieves.

• Ambient air treatment After removed from dust particles by the inhalation filter, the atmospheric air will be compressed to 0.3-0.5 barg by the Roots blower and then flows to one of the ZMS adsorb tower. The CO2 will be adsorbed by the activated alumina filled at the bottom at the inlet of the adsorber. As nitrogen has a higher diffusion rate in ZMS pores, the sieve will adsorb the nitrogen and moisture over oxygen, allowing the oxygen to be collected as product gas at pressure.
• Separation of oxygen Non-adsorbed air such as oxygen and argon will escape from the outlet of the adsorber into the oxygen buffer tank as product gas.
• Depressurization of the adsorber When the adsorber is fully-adsorbed, the valve should be switched to the opposite direction to depressurize the adsorb tank to 0.65-0.75 barg by the vacuuming pump, to desorb the sieves for reuse. The adsorbed moisture, CO2, nitrogen and other gas will be released into the atmosphere.
• Gas purification The process will be repeated several times so that oxygen with high purity from 90% to 95% can be generated.
