A nitrogen generator has the ability to separate nitrogen molecules out of compressed air. These nitrogen (N2) gas generators and nitrogen compressor packages are capable of providing purities of up to 99.85% and flow of up to 220 L/min (7.70 CFM).
A membrane nitrogen generator system operates by using selective permeability. Each "straw" in the membrane system permits different levels of gas permeation through the membrane. Membrane nitrogen generators force compressed air through the hollow "straws" of the membrane. This process causes oxygen to separate from the filtered Nitrogen.
A Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Nitrogen Generator utilizes a Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) to separate nitrogen molecules from compressed air. The CMS absorbs the oxygen under high pressure to allow for the end product of pure nitrogen.
